About

Welcome,

There is a part of me which is uncomfortable with creating an “online presence”, a website-to promote myself. The internet is now a vital part of our modern fast-paced culture and it  is a powerful, convenient tool. The internet is also a great source of stress, confusion and negativity.

In my work as a counselor, yoga teacher, body-focused psychotherapist and mindfulness practitioner, I value and operate from a mindset, which is almost the complete opposite to marketing, to the internet and social media.

The" look at me, buy more,  you know you want it, need it, right  now, you will feel ber this will fix you ..."

However, recognising that I have opposing ideas, conflicts, concepts and emotions within myself. And learning to be with, hold, feel into opposites is profoundly human AND profoundly liberating.

Have you ever heard yourself say

Yeah… no… BUT ,

Can you feel love and hate or laugh and cry at the same time! Yes!

Each and every person is unique, complex and different, therefore naturally each session with me, whether it is counselling, yoga or a combination of both, is unique, complex and different.  I do not use scripts, analyze, judge, place you in a box or category, tell you that your thinking is faulty, tell you what to do or how to think.

You deserve more than that!

You deserve respect and understanding, being treated like a unique complex, amazing person who wants support to negotiate the stresses of life.

People, relationships and therapy take time and effort.

To change, to grow takes courage to look within yourself and be with what you find. I endeavor to create a safe place where you can learn to be yourself with a constantly changing balance of support and challenge from me.

We explore, experiment and journey together to discover what you want and what may be blocking you from change, growth and richer more fulfilling relationships.

The task of providing the caring, open, focused and compassionate presence you require is both a joy and an effort. I am firmly committed to my self-care with daily yoga, prayer and mediation. I regularly seek support from supervisors and colleagues when I feel unclear, triggered or concerned about a client.

I could not be present  your pain and confusion if I ignored my own.

I continue to work with my grief, trauma, pain and stress and this means I am available to be with yours.

TESTIMONIAL
CONTACT
I have been attending yoga with jacqueline for approximately 12 weeks. In that short amount of time my mental and physical health has improved remarkably, giving me the tools to manage my chronic pain. Each morning I do 3-4 of the yoga poses which help decrease my pain levels. I would highly recommend Jacqueline as a yoga instructor for sufferers of chronic pain.

I have had the pleasure of receiving personal yoga instruction from Jacqueline for many years.  She is committed to Yoga, not just as an interest or a means of employment but as a whole way of life, and this is reflected in her centred and calm demeanour.  I wholeheartedly recommend Jacqueline's classes.

Is what you do, say, think or feel aligned with which you truly are?
Acting, thinking, feeling as you “should” is exhausting!
